A series of paintings I did of various hotels that host furry conventions, or would have this year.
Given the current global situation, I found myself painting the first one on the week that Biggest Little Fur Con 2020 was supposed to happen. I referenced a photo I shot (but shortly deleted) of the Grand Sierra receding into the distance as I was leaving the con last year. There was a certain distant, melancholic mood about seeing the building with its red lights cutting into a dimly lit sky. I wanted to capture that feeling for the rest of these buildings, despite half of them being cons I've never actually attended. I posted these on Twitter and it seems to have resonated a lot with my peers.
* Midwest FurFest 2020 is still due later this year, and there has been no announcement regarding its cancellation yet.
